The team that ripped this game didn't notice the installer is installing 'Step by step' libraries (aka WinSxS located in windows dir).
Those libraries are necessary to run "GameLauncher.exe" , it wont run otherwise (non-explicit error message displayed).
Having a look at the cab files on DVD root of iso, you can find evidence of what we are talking about:
Here are few examples of files you have in cabs :

those files are libraries (dlls) & the corresponding catalogs+manifests , those files will be installed as 'step by step' libraries.
Any experienced user will notice that those files are in fact the MS visual C++ redistribuable libraries.

Some lamers would have proper for this reason, we are clever and a fix is trully enough...
